The website became operational in 2001 so we have been around for over TEN YEARS!

Our Story (if you care to read more...)

Hi, my name is Alan, creator of the website and adminstrator of www.funkyfootstools.com. Our story is simple, really. We are just a few guys and gals who have been working very hard for many years to build a successful business.

No, we did not start out from the garage.

But we did work out of my back bedroom at first. A few of us had been in the textile industry, others in home furnishings and furniture manufacturing when we decided to "live the dream" and start our own business. It was tough at first, but we managed to find our way with help from our partner suppliers. We now have our own dedicated factory where we make each piece to order.

We have made our fair share of mistakes throughout the years but we have always managed to get back up on our feet. And as we struggled to grow we saw a chance to help people make their homes better places to live in through easy access in buying footstool furniture online.

Gaining knowledge in finding better ways to market our products along with our expertise in fabric and leather selection and quality has made me proud to say we have products and service that is unrivalled in our market place. Funky is what it is today ultimately because of the support we have had from our fantastic customers many of whom recommeded our footstools to their friends and relations.
